Product information "Marstall Faser light 15kg"
marstall Faser-Light is a starch- and energy-reduced structured feed with prebiotic components.
Fibre-Light is perfect for all light-fed horses that are worked little or not at all.
Adapted to the requirements of light-fed horses, marstall Faser-Light contains neither grain nor molasses and therefore very little starch and sugar. This keeps insulin levels low and helps to feed horses in a way that is gentle on the metabolism.
Our Fibre Light is rich in high-quality fibre and hay chaff from Allgäu meadows. This is important for satisfying the horses' need to chew and, by increasing saliva production, helps to buffer acid levels in the gastrointestinal tract. The structured feed has a prebiotic effect due to the intestinal care fibres. When the different fibre fractions are digested by microbes in the large intestine, valuable nutrients are produced for the horse that are effective for the intestines and gentle on the metabolism. These nourish the intestinal cells and provide the horse with energy without burdening the blood sugar and insulin system.
In addition to the valuable fibres, our Fibre Light contains all the important minerals, trace elements and vitamins and is therefore perfect for daily, calorie-reduced feeding. In a mixed herd of horses, Fibre Light prevents feed envy, as even the light-feeding horses get something in the trough and the chewing-promoting structure ensures a long feeding time.
Tip:Permanently high levels of starch and sugar in feed can cause obesity and nutrition-related metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance, EMS or laminitis, in light-fed horses that do not perform or perform poorly. These horses should therefore be fed a grain- and molasses-free diet, not just as part of a reduction diet. Pasture grass can also have a high sugar content, which is why grazing time should be restricted if necessary.
